Who doesn’t want to boosts their metabolism naturally? Smoothies are so delicious, and can be a great way to get more fresh vegetables, fruit, and spices into your diet. They are a great healthy breakfast, post-workout snack, or lunch.

All you need for this metabolism boosting smoothie is fresh spinach, frozen raspberries and blackberries, plain yogurt, spices, and shredded coconut. We’re throwing in some cinnamon which is chock full of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and supports weight loss. We also have ginger, adding some spicy zing and again promoting those anti-inflammatory benefits and helping your body fight disease.

This recipe is so customizable! You can use blueberries, green apple kale, oats, coconut milk . . . If you like your smoothies sweeter, feel free to add in half a frozen banana.

Metabolism Boosting Spinach Berry Smoothie

  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen blackberries
  • 1/4 cup plain or Greek yogurt (you can also use coconut milk)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 2 tsp flaxseeds
  • 1 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp chia seeds (for topping)


  • Throw all the ingredients (except the chia seeds) into your blender and blend until creamy and smooth. Pour into a glass and top with chia seeds. Enjoy!
